International Student Care Package Initiative

In recent months, many people have had their lives turned completely upside down due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of us are concerned about keeping up with ongoing living expenses on a daily basis. While some of us have been fortunate to find support from relatives, friends, and other external assistance, there are clusters of international students living in our neighborhoods who find themselves far away from home without any close contacts to act as a support system.

Our vision is for our community to become that support system for international students living in Niagara and come alongside them during this time of need by providing care packages during this time. With your support, we can make this happen.

Ways You Can Help

Current needs include: 

  • Gathering care package items
  • Offering goods/services to go in packages
  • Putting care packages together
  • Delivering packages to students
  • Donating funds to support the purchase of care package items (tax receipt available)

Together We Can do This!

Your donation will help reach 100 students in our pilot launch. Any unused donations will be used in future larger initiatives. In recognition of your valued contribution to this initiative, your company’s logo will be added to a donor postcard that will be included in the student care packages and will be featured online. As well, you will receive invitations to participate in international student community events throughout the year.
